This month, I’m excited to be again concerned with the  Improv Problem, which is run through Kristen @ Frugal Antics of a Harried Homemaker who demanding situations us meals bloggers to get a hold of ingenious recipes the usage of a particular meals pairing. This month’s theme is a vintage duo: bacon & eggs.

My recipe, Broccoli Rabe, Francis Bacon and Eggs Bruschetta, is without equal recipe mash-up and right here’s how I got here up with it.

  • I’ve been in need of to do a breakfast bruschetta for awhile.
  • One in all my favourite foods from my early life was once when my mother made bacon and scrambled eggs for dinner. Now being a mom myself, I comprehend it was once fast, no brainer supper however it felt “unique” to have breakfast for dinner.
  • Once I noticed Melissa Clark’s publish about Pecorino Fried Bread with Broccoli on her new Eating place Takeaway weblog, I knew I had so as to add broccoli rabe to my toasted bread, too. It’s most likely my Italian roots, however sautéed broccoli rabe is one in all my very favourite greens. My veggie phobic husband thinks I’m nuts once I say it’s as just right as sweet when cooked good. (The trick is to boil it first after which sauté it so it’s now not too sour.)
